Upcoming holidays spark decorating debate

As the holiday season approaches and Mariah Carey begins to appear on the radio, the big question is whether it is too early to start decorating? The Warrior asked students and teachers what they thought of this holiday dilemma.

Most students and teachers agreed that decorating after Thanksgiving is the best time to start spreading the holiday joy through trees and lights. But some disagreed.

Mackenzie Cameron Matt Bilinsky poses for picture after answering question.

“My wife starts decorating for Christmas right after Halloween,” stated teacher Matt Bilinsky.

Freshman Finley Malloy agreed, stating, “I decorate Nov. 1.”

Others expressed their desire to decorate earlier, but received backlash from family.

“My parents will not let me decorate early,” stated freshman Allison Dickson.

Some people do not agree with early decoration however.

“I decorate on Thanksgiving Day,” stated Spanish teacher Nicole Burtch.   “You can not overlap the holidays.”
