Ben Platt sings to masses instead of Broadway

Singer, actor and now recording artist Ben Platt has released two brand new singles for his upcoming album to be released on March 29.

Platt was most known for his role on Broadway as the high tenor Evan Hansen in the show “Dear Evan Hansen.” He has not only been noted as a fantastic vocalist but a jaw-dropping actor, and this trait really shines through in these new tracks.

The new singles are called “Bad Habit” and “Ease my mind” which find Platt in the midst of two pulled midsets.

“Bad Habit” begins with some  melancholy chords as Platt opens up about his sadness that he desires someone who has hurt him before.

“Bad habit I know that I’m needing you right now. Can ya help me out? Can I lean on you?” Platt croons over light treble percussion touch with some well-recorded atmospheric strings.

Showing off his range, Platt features some high belts of a high B below tenor C mixed with a well-demonstrated and developed vibrato.

You can stream these two new singles on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube and all other streaming services.
