CAP offers community service hours over the summer

As the school year dwindles down it is easy for students to forget about one of the staples of graduation: community service.

For the 2022-2023 school year, the incoming freshmen and sophomores will need to complete 30 hours of community service while the juniors will need 25 and the senior class will need 20.

According to Assistant Principal Amy Horvat, if you are one of those students who needs hours, joining the Community Action Program is your solution.

Students can sign up for CAP anytime throughout the year. If they would like to acquire hours over the summer, signing up now is a good idea.

Community Action Program sponsor Lisa Popovich mentioned that over the summer, CAP members participate in a variety of acts of service, all of which can be signed up through Google Forms sent through Gmail.

“Keep yourself active over the summer and always be giving to others because we are so blessed in this community,” added Popovich.

If any student would like to join CAP, they can go to pthscap.com and sign up.
