The Penn-Trafford Homecoming dance is fast approaching. With just a few short days left, those elected to Homecoming court are preparing to perform their movie-themed dances. Those on court and the students alike are excited for the pep rally.

Senior Class President and Homecoming King nominee Jesse Cox expressed his excitement for the dance. He and his partner Abby Turkowski will be perform a dance from the movie “White Chicks.”

“I think my chances [of winning] are pretty high,” Cox said, who rated himself at a 99.8 percent chance of winning.

Cox has an eye on someone he feels is his biggest competitor.

“Sav is my biggest rival. He is well appreciated among my student body,” Cox said.

Saverio Esposito is a former teammate of Cox on the Warrior Hockey team, so Cox knows of his abilities.

“Overall, it is going to be a great time. I will not be disappointed by the results. I’m coming for you Sav,” Cox announced.

Esposito also felt the odds to be in his favor. He and Julia Rizzo, his dancing partner, plan to perform the dance from the classic “Napoleon Dynamite.”

“We have the best chance to win,” said Esposito as he also gave himself  “six to zero” odds to win and a “zero percent chance to lose.”

Esposito felt his biggest competition was not Cox and Turkowski, but rather Neiko Chapkis and Julia Bosco. However, Esposito’s confidence was unwavering.

“I know everyone is looking forward to my moves,” he admitted. “Disappointment is not an option for me.”

Julia Rizzo lacked the boldness of her counterpart. Unlike her partner, Rizzo felt Cox and Turkowski possessed the most potential to top her duo. She rated her and Esposito’s chance at zero percent.

“Go in with no expectations and hope for the best,” Rizzo advised herself.

The pep rally will take place on Friday, Sept. 23, in the P-T high school gym. The homecoming court includes: Jesse Cox and Abby Turkowski, Saverio Esposito and Julia Rizzo, Brett Carney and Alyssa Curran, Neiko Chapkis and Julia Bosco, Austin Mossellem and Rylee Burger, and Cameron Coy and Emma Winchell.
